Welcome to Eclipse Season 2020 AKA the Doorway to the Age of Aquarius
We have entered the Gemini/Sagittarius eclipse season of 2020 with a full moon lunar eclipse in Gemini conjunct fixed star and starseed marker, Aldebaran, on 11/30/20 followed by a new moon solar eclipse in Sagittarius on 12/14/20. We’re having ramped up solar activity and many are reporting the symptoms of vertigo, exhaustion yet unable to sleep, and increased synchronicities that go along with the consciousness expansion of our times.
I find it helpful to think of many things in astrology as spectrums or axes that contain both opposites of a thing as well as zero point balance of a thing. The Gemini and Sagittarius axis or spectrum is one of the easiest for me to explain in this way, and it goes a little bit like this:
Gemini, the twins, represents duality in its most extreme form while Sagittarius, the archer, unifies this duality into the arrow of truth.
Gemini rules the lungs, shoulders, arms, and hands… all in pairs. Sagittarius rules the liver, hips, thighs, and sacrum… a grounding energy. Isn’t it interesting to think of how solid and grounded the archer must be in order for the arrow to fly straight and true.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the lungs help us process our grief and sorrow, the liver is connected to our anger and the wood element. We can think of this as a tree grounded in the earth (arrows are made of wood) with its branches (the literal lungs of the earth) separating into the sky. One becoming many. Here we can find a helpful exercise that can assist with processing this powerful energy. Deep breaths that fill our heartspace that we direct and ground into the earth can serve to transmute our sorrow, grief, and anger.
In clear and profound terms, this eclipse season is asking us to step away from the you/me game just enough to see the story with the truth of the heart. Your experience will largely depend on the maturity of your spirit, heart, and emotional perception.
Here’s the thing. It’s a CHOICE. Your actions matter and it does take discipline. Make choices that support the world you want. Even if you don’t know how to proceed, if you make the conscious CHOICE to step away from the extreme duality that is available, you will grow in this way, I promise. Once you make the choice, you must take action. That action can be a prayer, a promise, a request, a declaration, etc.
It’s as simple as reverently saying something like, “From the God and Goddess of my being I give thanks for the love that I am, the love in my life, and the love that surrounds me. Thank you. I am grateful for all my life has taught me. I now desire to turn toward actions and understandings that reflect unity, peace, enlightenment, and love in my world and in my people. I ask my Spirit Council (or whoever you want to add here) to make themselves known in my life and to assist and guide me in ways I can recognize. I desire this in order to be of service. Thank you for being with me and for loving me. And so it is.”
This is just an example. The beginning comes from Ptah’s Morning Song which I highly recommend as a devotional practice.
My friends, I imagine you are feeling the up-swelling right now. To me, it feels exciting and love-filled. As always, if you seek assistance navigating any of this, I invite you to book a session with me. Go here to read about the Age of Aquarius.
